From October 5 to 8, an important international conference took place: the annual meeting of the “Society for the Neurobiology of Language 2021″!

During this annual conference, several hundred researchers, students and clinicians come together to share their most recent research results. Several members of our lab participated in this year’s virtual edition, including Elisabeth and Xiyue, respectively master and doctoral students. Elisabeth presented the results of her literature review and meta-analysis on the effects of musical activities on the ability to perceive speech in noise. Xiyue presented her doctoral project, which focuses on the protective effects of singing on brain networks, as well as on communication skills and cognitive functions in aging.
