NeuroQuébec is a research netowrk at Université Laval that brings together one hundred researchers and more than 400 students committed to advancing knowledge in neuroscience and mental health.

On February 16, 2026, the 18th edition of the Neuroscience Research Day, organized by NeuroQuébec at Université Laval, was held. The day featured scientific presentations, enriching discussions, and numerous opportunities for exchange among researchers, students, and clinicians gathered to celebrate excellence in neuroscience.

The program included lectures by researchers, oral presentations, and student poster sessions covering a wide range of topics, from basic to clinical research. A roundtable discussion on the use of neurotechnologies in rehabilitation also generated strong interest.

Among the participants, Marc-André Marion-Flamand, a PhD student in rehabilitation sciences and a member of the lab, presented his project on aging and speech motor control. He is the recipient of the NeuroQuébec Doctoral Excellence Scholarship for 2025 (Figure 2).

Maélie Royal, a master’s student in Rehabilitation Sciences, also took advantage of the event to attend the lectures and connect with students from other laboratories and research centers. Marc-André’s and Maélie’s reflections are presented in Figure 3.
