Our favorite congress, co-founded by Pascale, the lab director, and Dr. Steven Small in 2009!<\/p>\n<p>For more than two years, due to the pandemic, all the conferences we have attended have been held in virtual mode. The team was therefore looking forward to being able to discuss again with scientific colleagues (flesh-and-blood human beings!) from all corners of the planet, who share a common passion for the neurobiology of language. The event brought together over 500 people studying different facets of language (e.g., brain development and language, neurological disorders that affect language, brain aging and its impact on language, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>As part of this conference, Val\u00e9rie presented the preliminary results of one of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/speechneurolab.ca\/en\/transcranial-magnetic-stimulation-tms\/\" target=\"_blank\">transcranial magnetic stimulation<\/a>&nbsp;(TMS) studies that is part of her doctoral thesis. Dozens of people visited her poster, allowing her to gather constructive comments and suggestions.
