This event brings together the center\u2019s scientific community every year to celebrate advances in neuroscience research and foster interdisciplinary exchanges.<\/strong><\/p><\/div><p>Several hundred people gathered for a day full of discoveries and discussions. The program featured talks by researchers from the center, information capsules presented by various groups, including CERVO\u2019s social committee, the student association (CERVOLET), and the EDI committee. Students showcased their work through scientific poster sessions, creating numerous opportunities for interaction. The day concluded with a festive Christmas party.<\/p><p>Our lab was well represented at this scientific day! Several team members \u2014 Alexandre, Am\u00e9lie, Ma\u00e9lie, Roxane, Marc-Andr\u00e9, and Pascale \u2014 attended, and two of them \u2014 Ma\u00e9lie and Marc-Andr\u00e9 \u2014 presented posters on their respective projects.<\/p><p><strong>Ma\u00e9lie Royal<\/strong>, a master\u2019s student in Rehabilitation Sciences, presented our major MELODIC project, and more specifically her master\u2019s research project, which is part of MELODIC and focuses on the effects of group activities on speech-in-noise perception among older adults. Her poster attracted considerable interest, particularly from those working on aging. His work, which explores how the aging brain adapts its strategies to control speech production, sparked rich discussions with other students and researchers.
