Like any university research team, our work follows the rhythm of the academic seasons. One of our core missions is training the next generation, and we welcome each new term with enthusiasm. It&#8217;s an opportunity to mentor new students while bidding farewell to those completing their time with us. Since the lab\u2019s founding in 2011, more than 160 students have contributed to our projects!<\/p><div><p>This fall, we\u2019re pleased to welcome four new members: <b>Marc-Andr\u00e9, Val\u00e9rie, Marianne, and Belinda<\/b>. With backgrounds in linguistics, speech-language pathology, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical sciences, they add even more richness to our already multidisciplinary team.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Marc-Andr\u00e9 <\/strong>joins us as a PhD student in rehabilitation sciences. His project will focus on the neural foundations of age-related changes in speech production. He will be co-supervised by Lucie M\u00e9nard, a professor of phonetics at UQ\u00c0M.<\/li><li><strong>Marianne <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Belinda<\/strong>\u00a0are joining the team as research interns through the immersion stream of the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences program. Congratulations to them on being accepted into these highly competitive programs! We sincerely thank them for their numerous contributions, especially to the NeuroSpin and Repetition projects, and we wish them continued success.<\/p><\/div><div><p>Lastly,<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>Charlie<\/strong>, who worked with us this summer on NeuroSpin, is continuing her studies in language sciences.
